Brilliant !!! What an amazing afternoon, great atmosphere and the girls really got the crowd going. Weather was amazing which made our day but God love them girls performing in their costumes and wigs. Staff at Tipsy bird were very friendly and helpful too. All in all a most enjoyable day. My experience is hopefully the exception rather than the norm. Things that could be done better. 1. Food was a bit lackluster, very simple spread. Something I would present to children and pretend it was fancy. My 10 year old makes nicer sandwiches. 2. Cashless venue, we went to the Abba experience and the outdoor garden didn't serve cocktails. Indoors the machines were not working and they didn't take cash. Eventually they got this sorted but for an organised event the venue should be aware that people would want cocktails. Many other venues have a few cocktails prepared before e.g Strawberry Daquari. 3. Loads of staff on yet we sat at our table for 4 hours, no one lifted a glass or the sandwiches until the end. 4. For a supposedly sold out event there wasn't a great crowd or atmosphere. 5. On arrival I said a friend couldn't make it, the waiter brought out 3 cocktails having paid for 4 people I asked for the 4th drink. The waiter spilled half a cocktail down my back when he first brought them out. It was a warm day but thank goodness I chose to wear black. No offer to refill the glass while I was wearing half of it. 6. A large exposed nail on the veranda where I was sitting. I caught my dress on it twice. Could very easily be fixed. 7. Only one person on the bar at a time. Yet staff about, seemingly busy but not busy with customers. 8. Constant filming for obvious social media content, I want to enjoy a night out if I wanted to be on Big Brother I'd have applied. Booking wasn't smooth either and I'd originally booked for a bottomless brunch and changed to Abba. Almost 4 weeks later and my refund is still in -pending- on my bank account. We were offered free drinks due to the issues we had previously but it still didn't make the day good. Positive points: 1. The cocktails were actually very nice when they came. 2. The music was fantastic with a great band playing. 3. The venue was beautiful, it had so much potential but fell short. After the show me and my friends relocated to another bar, close by. We found this venue a lot better and have decided when we go out again there are plenty of other venues in the locality that I would prefer to spend my hard earned money in. I usually don't write a negative review and prefer to give private feedback of negative events but on this occasion I feel I need to be honest. I have worked in hospitality too, so I am well aware of how these things should be done. After contacting the venue and organisers and having issues with the *pending* refund of £160 no less! I hope the venue and the organisers of the event learn some lessons about this. Customers, take your money and custom elsewhere.
